Advantages And Disadvantages Of Hr And It?

Hi, i’m in big confusion now. I was a software supporter in a well establish company and suddenly i got the offer from another company to become an HR officer. As a person who likes to try out new things, I went into it. But now I’m in dilemma. Not sure whether I want to continue in this line itself or switch back to IT related job. Before I decide, I would like to know the advantages and disadvantages of both jobs. Hope you guys can help me.

My view is that HR is not a viable long term profession. I forsee that eventually HR will be subsumed into business functions. IT is far more of a long term proposition as it is revenue earning whereas HR is revenue negative. But if you want to switch back it must feel right for you. If you have the passion for IT and the future then get stuck in.
