Big Interview With Regional Hr Director For Promotion.. Help! Professionals, Help!?
Help me!
Tomorrow I´m having a one-on-one interview with the HR Director of Latin America in my company.
Within the next six months, it is planned that I will be promoted into my boss´ role (I am an HR Analyst/Assistant and he is the HR Manager). They aren´t entirely happy with the work he does and the idea is to get me up and into his role before the end of August this year. I have a good reputation here locally, but I really need to make a good impression on this guy!
I am hoping that people could help me out with some possible questions that he might ask me, things that might be to my advantage to mention, etc…
Help!

I work closely with an HR department where I work. Since you answered my question…love the idea with the lipstick in the shower and writing a love note! Great idea! I’mma try that tonight. =) Hopefully he doesn’t see it until the morning when he gets a shower.
Anyway you’ll do fine! Just like any other interview you’ve had or dealt with. Expect the same questions. Though you’ll be promoted and moving up, expect to be asked questions about that job. They might ask if you can handle the work load, how you might handle pressure? etc. If it’s a lot of work that is.
Good luck to you! You’ll do fine!
As one of his reports, you are in an idael position to know your manager’s strengths and weaknesses, so you can exploit that if you like to some extent.
I think a better approach will be to make sure you exhibit a mature business-like image. Has the guy who you are meeting god any hobbies, or favourite subjects ? mentioning things in these areas will help puit him at ease.
Other than that, I would just go with the flow, but don’t get drunk or pinch his wife’s bum – unless she tells you to.
