Can One Achieve A Management Position In Hr Soon After Graduate School?

If I get my Master’s in Human Resources, is it possible to do management soon after, or does it usually take years of experience before you can do this?
What would I do in the meantime if my goal is management? Maybe career or training development?
Thanks for any advice

Sure it is. After I graduated (Undergrad) I obtained my first position as an HR mgr. for one of the largest organizations in NY. I have a friend who is pretty young (26). She just obtained her masters in HR last year and secured a Director’s position. Has she been able to handle the work? No. She’s made a dozen mistakes, but that is due to lack of experience (not everything is books and theory.) However, she is hanging in there and fairing well.
