im planning on starting certificate 4 in HR really soon. Would this be a good career path job wise? And what did you think of the course itself? Calling all HR Execs! Can A Non Human Resources graduate get a job and Work in HR ? I will graduate with a B.Comm Double Major in Marketing and Management and probably go back an extra year for a Human Resource Certificate what can I expect in the real world ? My racist supervisor has written me up twice in 2 months since he heard I was going to transfer to another department. Up until now I had a good employee record. Human resources says I can’t transfer until a year has passed to drop a writeoff from my record. I went to school and got my certificate for this other position now it was all for nothing. Human resources says they have to be fair on all there policy’s (which is understandable) I just feel they should use a little more discretion on the severity of a writeup before holding someone back for advancing their career. Any advice on what I can legally do to fight this. The write ups were my first offense ever. I’m a student in California obtaining my Sociology BA from UCSD and want to work in Human Resources Management (higher level HR), so I am planning on getting a couple certificates and maybe an MBA in HR, while working part time as an intern? Is this a good course of action? What are the better universities in California with MBAs in HR, name a few. Thanks. I’m aware that having a degree in business administration is good, but I am not that good in math. Also, all the math courses and other courses that I must take before I can transfer to a university does not fit into my time schedule or plans for the future. The two majors that I have chosen are majors that I have spent hours researching on and feel that they are the best fit for me and for my career. I just need some different thoughts concerning my decision. What type of jobs can I expect with a Bachelor of Commerce with a Double Major in Marketing & Management with a Human Resource Certificate? Has anyone gotten a B.Comm and know what I can expect. |
