Could Emdr Therapy Help In Drug Addictions?

I’m doing a project for my Intro to Human Resources college class, and I’d like to use EMDR therapy as my topic. I know quite a bit about it, but I’ve never read anything regarding its use with drug addictions. Has anyone heard if this is plausable? I am gathering my research as we speak but some other outside resources would be wonderful. Any help?

It’s possible but from what I’ve heard or read, they usually use it for things like PTSD.
Not sure on that.
