    I work in human resources.
I think you need to enjoy working with people and solving problems. Every day is different. You can not be afraid of conflict because at times you will make decisions that may not be popular. You should be able to deal with difficult people and be a good negotiator. You should be able to talk to people at all levels of an organization. You have to be neutral and be able to support the direction of the company even when it can be hard at times. You must be fair and ethical. You have to know about employment law too and be prepared to keep current on topics
Human Resources is a great career. You can specialize in one area or be a generalist like myself. Some of the things you may be involved in include hiring, training, collective barganing, grievance handling, benefit administration, salary compensation, payroll, safety and health, employee relations and more! What other job can give you such a variety. You can work in any company that has an hr department in any industry. Its a great career with lots of jobs.
