How Can A Person Get Into Human Resources? I Have A Degree, But Lack Experience. I Am Getting Frustrated!?

I had that same problem when I tried to break into HR years ago. Here are a few things you can do that worked for me:
- internships – see if you can do an internship with a company – you can get a lot of exposure to the different areas within HR by doing that first
- staffing – recruiting requires a lot of administrative support so there tend to be a lot of jobs in staffing. try to go for a recruiting coordinator job or HR Coordinator job. it will be grunt work and you’ll enjoy most of it b/c you’ll get the exposure you need.
- temp agency – see if you can find a job doing HR thru a temp agency – ANY HR experience is good HR experience, even if its a short term temporary assignment.
Don’t worry about what level you join in an HR group – if you’re good, you’ll move up that chain very quickly. I’ve been in HR now 10 years and I love every minute of it. Good luck!!

At at point of time, everyone starts a job without any experience.. and in every company they take fresher for entry level position. You should submit your resume to leading jobsite like http://www.monster.com, http://www.careerbuilder.com. Also you should consult local placement consultant in your area. In the meantime, look out for an option to work online. Although it wont pay you like full time job but you can make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visithttp://ommc.blogspot.com
I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)

  • Lets find the way

HR is not the easiest place to just “get into” – you might want to try working in HR in a city, county, or state office first… sometimes they hire with no experience
