Thanks for your question. I am Sachin Uppal, working as a Marketing Manager in Wipro.
Let me try to answer this question of your’s. I see that a lot of engineers join IT companies these days and they hail from different engineering backgrounds. The complexities and the diverse nature of Software requirements these days from our clients suggests very clearly that we need to have people from various backgrounds who can bring in there expertise and help us break down complex problems into simple solutions.
Any company these days is faced with a challenge to exceed customer satisfaction by building domain expertise and delivering solutions which suits there requirements.
Seeing your interests in Embedded systems I am sure you have taken a step ahead to enhance your skills and tried to understand the company’s requirement. Keep applying to various IT firms and I am sure you would be able to get a job.
And just a last thing which is in fact very important, communication skills, if you think you don’t have good communication skills, first break this myth. Start believing in yourself, and start practicing the same. Read some good books and online articles and start practicing!
