Just tell the hotel that you needed a change and the job wasn’t right for me or you were ready for a new challenge in life. Just sugar coat it and say this is something you’ve always been interested in,etc. If your new company calls your old employer,by law that can not say you were fired. Good Luck!

I would just be honest and tell them you made a mistake that you have learned from and will not repeat.
Most likely they will get feedback from previous employer, so honesty is the best way to go

Hey, I was wondering if you can e-mail me (personally) back. I work at a hotel in FL and wanted to exchange info with you. By the way, they probably won’t go too deep into checking your past jobs…..its a hotel not a bank, they just want to hire someone asap. Look good and smart and you should get hired!

Just so that you know they are not allowed to ask you why you were let go, only if you are eligible for rehire or not. But b/c people are noisy there are always questions and at that point you can just tell them that you had a problem with the hygiene of another employee and that refused to do something about it.
