my hubby is currently in AIT for 42A and he says its a breeze. you basically sit in class all day and go over different army paperwork ie memorandums, leave, ERB, promotions, etc do a worksheet over it, and then take a test over the same material. its really easy and South Carolina is beautiful!

You’re kidding, right? I suppose that there exists a possibility that you might suffer a major paper cut or possible concussion to your brain housing unit recoiling off of the desk during a lecture. I guess the paper clips are rather sharp, too.
Listen up, Kiddo, you have fallen into the pile of hot steamy and you’re going to get up smelling like a rose. As a Human Resources Specialist you got absolutely no heartache ahead of you unless you do something really incredibly stupid and create some.
    Have a wonderful life…

LOL give me a break, that AIT is easy. I know your going to Relaxin Jackson. I did the training in 2002, we had are own computers. They make you take a typing test and you learn about military documents. There’s was so much women there, my Drill Sgts were female. PIECE OF CAKE

lol 42-alpha school is chilling.. If you just enlisted and your going to ait for the first time you will show up at fort jackson south carolina and go to 369. You go to dental and go to the eye doctor and improcess your first few days then start school.

delta or charlie 369 is all about “leading the way” you will march your selves every where and sing cadences. You still eat in a chow hall but the food is way better, you stay in barracks but instead of staying in a bay like in BCT. If your in leadership you will sleep 2 to a room, so get high pt in basic training and it will be easy for you to make leadership. Other rooms sleep 4-8 in a room.

You still have pt every morning, except saturdays and sundays. Saturday and Sundays are your chill days for most of the time. It split into two different phases black & gold phase black phase you are limited to battalion and post passes.

The last few weeks of ait to you to the field and do missions and s1 work. When you return from the fields you will have a C.I. inspection where you will wear your class a uniform and the commander and first sgt inspect your rooms and ask you questions that you would have learned in class.

Then you will be in gold phase only if you pass your final apft (pt test) In gold phase you will get off post pass for the weekend, be able to go to the smoke pit, and order food on the weekends.

Hey by the way theres no drill sgts in ait you have sgts and 9 out of 10 of them are chillin. And you still have 2 quarts. You also go to the range oneday but its just to “zero” your weapon you wont have to qualify again.
The entire time you have to have a whole lot of energy and always be motivated. You compete against the other platoons. Its a lot of fun.
If you arent just joining the army and are reclassing you are going in as TSB. Its even easier just do pt and go to class and you have the rest of the night and weekends to chill.

Classes you sit on computers and have a pre test and test every day and its so easy you have the answers on the screen in front of you through out every test.

One morning you will be woken up usually a muscle failure day and have to do a piss test. Another time you will be woken up again on a muscle failure day and your lockers and draws under your bed will be opened and searched. You will also have an integrity check to see if you are carrying your phone during the first few days.
(This all happens to every platoon every cycle)

Dont forget to buy a good phone (not a minute phone get a plan) and a laptop and buy an internet stick (like from verizon so you always have internet) and anything else you might want on family day.

You dont get in trouble for fratenizing (sp?) like you would in BCT, and on fridays they have something called the coffee house for you to go to and listen to music and have a snack and coffee, its fun and gets you out of the barracks. Also theres still church on sundays.
And unlike the other people who left you comments i just got out of 42alpha school. Good luck.
