Hun, take a walk through a major city in Europe, and count the number of expensive exotic sports cars you see…Then factor in the fact that most of the major fashion capitols of the world are in Europe, and the fact that nearly every prominent house of design originated in Europe…
    Are we more materialistic?
I think not, they virtually gave us the most materialistic industry in the world.
I remember we went to Milan for vacation one year and I remember walking down the street with all of the major boutiques and there were literally Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches, and what have you all over the place. It was like exotic car dealerships threw up over the place.

    agreed.
americans are very self centered and materialistic.
i look around in the hallways of my school and things, and i’m thinking: this is why the world hates american teenagers, because they care to much about looks and they are oblivious to whats going on in the world.

Over the summer I went there! :D We stayed in a villa in Italy, and there was no dyrer. We had to hang-dry everything. Also, we spent maybe 5 hours of driving in total. There were six of us in a eight person van. And we only needed to fill up once! EVERYONE had a smart car in Paris. London there is the tube wich means there are less cars too.
    So I am agreeing.

well i’m not american or european but i don’t think it’s true, people are materalistic if they can afford it americans have more money thats why they are but if europeans had the ability to spend all the time they’d probably do it too

I think so. Americans always try to outdo each other. The mentality, whoever has the most toys wins. Not all Americans, but a good number.
