It was just on my mind cause oe of my friends were talking about it to me from his new job. I had no clue what he was talking about though but what are a load of different various jobs a human resource manager will do?

Probably the biggest part of the job is protecting the assets of the company by helping to ensure good employee relations- giving employees a place they can air their concerns without going to a lawyer or the government. The HR Manager will put recruiting and staffing plans in place, helping the company find the best employees. He or she will likely help with compensation issues, how much each employee should be paid for the job they hold and their perrformance. Sometimes they help with employee training. Finally, the worst part of the job, they help managers with terminations of employees with severe or continuing problems. This list describes a Human Resources generalist. Some managers specialize in any of the above areas.
