I am graduating this year and I was thinking about studying Human Resources. I just wanted to know what it was like, is the work hard, what kind of classes do you have, and overall do you like majoring in that subject. Please help!

There is a customer who shops where I work. On 1 occassion, he grabbed my shirt to look at the tattoo on my back, he has mimicked squeezing my breasts and grabbing my buttocks. Management “talked” to him, but didn’t ban him from shopping there. Now, he doesn’t say anything to me, just paces in front of my register, points me out to his friends, and on 2 occassions, I believe his vehicle has followed me through the parking lot. My bosses now say he isn’t doing anything wrong, but I think he’s violating KS harassment and stalking laws. After the regional HR director told me the customer would be banned, my local HR has told me they’ll get multiple statements from co-workers stating my behavior at work suggests “I asked for it.” My question…what legal recourse do I have, if any…and can I establish a hostile work environment? What are the Pros & Cons of being a Human Resource Manager? To add to my first part she has said to me on numerous occasions that “the only reason that i’m gay is because I have not had sex with the right woman” she has also invited me to her home prior to her getting married again about 4 months ago, I assumed that when she got married for the second time at 29 this would have stopped, but since she is my supervisor we pass each other in the hallways and most recently she said that HR would not buy my story because i’m gay and she is married but the couple of meetings I have had with HR I feel that they are trying to protect her for whatever reason who knows and there is also alot of miscommunication between HR, Director of my depart, and my supervisor…what they dont know is that I’ve recorded all meetings on tape. so when I felt that nothing was happening in a timely manner I went to my directors boss with an e-mail explaining everything, the department mngr told be that I should not CC my e-mails to anyone but her….someone is hiding smth |
