What Can I Claim For Tax Deductions For My Career?

I am looking for anything that I can deduct as an expense for my IT career or education toward my career. ie can I claim books on IT, a new computer system, certification expenses, any technology so that i may keep up to date, etc.
I tried looking on IRS.gov but came up with nothing. (Their site is enormous and confusing) Is there a reference I can go by other than buying software from HR Block or Inuit (Turbo Tax)?

Can I Claim Unemployement And Take Classes To Advance My Career At Nights?

The last day at my temp assignment is in a little less than a month, and due to the economy I have NOT found another job to line up after this one. I have been taking Human Resources classes for a Certification.
Since I will be out of a job, I will not have means to pay. Since it is not for a degree, they do not accept fafsa. Is it true EDD will assist you in paying for school and give you unemployment benefits if it is career trainning?

I Filed A Sexual Harassment Claim At Work And Nothing?

I was recently on a company trip and a director in my company several times said crude comments to me and when I then told another director and he was confronted, the man who harassed me threatened my job. I wait a few months to file because i was afraid of losing my job, but when i did, HR asked the director about the incident and he admited it and they told me all he has to do is apologize? Know i am being kicked out the door? Is this fair?

Should I Get Legal Council / File A Claim With The Eeoc Because I Was Fired From My Job?

I was fired from my job while in the middle of a human resourses investigation dealing with a harrasment/retailiation claim I made. My boss listed tradies to work the cause of my termination, but never consulted with me in regards to the claim I took up with HR. I think the termination is due to the claim more so than the tardies, but I did have tardies. The VP of Operations (male) did the firing by himself without any one else present in the office and our HR personnel were out of town.He also did not give me an exit interview only 5 min of why they decided to fire me (multiple tardies) and then walked me out of the building. He did not tell me about my insurance, PTO time, or my 401k. It was so quick he didn’t even make sure to collect my company credit card or laptop. I don’t understand the reasons behind why it had to happen so quickly or why HR was not involved. How should one proceed?
