I’m a sophistocated, classy young man that was caught in cooperate bullying. I got two valued employees fired, and then everyone started criticizing, behind my back, everything that i do at work. So when the opportunity came they suspended me “pending further investigation” I have a meeting witht eh director of human resources, and the director of food and beverage tomorrow.
Non the less, i normally dress nicely for every occasion. However, I have absolutly no idea what i should wear tomorrow. Something that symbolized my future, a t-shirt and jeans? or something classy? it is a meeting, but… lol. I’ve got no idea. Please help?
I graduated college, worked for 7 weeks and was fired. I told the company that is hiring me now I was in Europe the whole time. I have recieved one unemployment check. Will this show up and cause them to ask any questions? Its a decent sized company, the finance dept is seperate from the HR and VP that hired me. Should I cancel my unemployment to prevent this even if I dont start working for 2 weeks?
I’ve been fired from quite a few jobs lately. Every time I’m given the news of my dismissal, I am seated in the Human Resource Director’s office with managers and supervisors. I make a plea to salvage my situation, but inevitably I am told I am terminated. At that point, what is the proper etiquette?
I have always “thanked” each seated person in the room, shake their hands, and turned in my badge as I’m escorted off the premises. I’m always the one to initiate shaking hands, and I’ve noticed they are always very hesitant to extend their hand in return.
What’s the correct way to exit gracefully?
I had horrible service today at a local Waffle House. The cook was talking on his cell phone while preparing mine and other customers’ food. I complained to a server and he went to the back and got a lady. She questioned him and then gave him permission to continue talking on the phone. She then told him that a customer was complaining about him and he asked who. The lady pointed at me and the two began to talk about me as if I were not sitting right in front of them.
I asked for their names and a customer service number. I called and complained to the corprate office. I went to another Waffle House and received excellent service. The waitress was great. She informed me that the lady from the first resteraunt was the regional human resource director and trains every new employee in the region and the first resteraunt is where she trains all of the new employees.
I find this sad. Should this lady be fired or demoted? Its obvious she isn’t very professional or good at her job.
last year a co-worker complained to me that our boss would hug her and rub against several time and this bothered her. I spoke with our boss and he said he would stop. I return to my co-worker and told her his reponse. He then came and told her he was sorry. I thought problem was solved. The next day he came in to my office and said I could resign or be terminated. I was in shock…work there for five years and never had a write-up or bad word said. Shock is gone and now I want to take action…I did the right thing and lost my job.. Any ideas folks?
