I want to know if it would be better to get a business administration degree and than pursue a masters in HR. Or should I just go for a BA in HR and than a Masters in HR. Im trying to find a combination of degrees that will help me get the upper edge over the other HR competition.
I know that the second interview is with the Director of HR. Does anyone have an idea from experience what the second interview will be like? What type of questions? Is it get to know me time, or more hypothetical and technical questions? Does it seem like I’m “in” because of who I am interviewing with and how soon they called?
I hope it wasn’t you. They should not just be selecting anyone for an HR position, it is a very imporatnat position to be in. If you have no idea what you are a doing I would suggest to take a course right away.
Edited to say: You forgot about the people. You will also need to take care of employee issues and all sorts of other things.

For the next 24 hours, the media will assault us with tales of imminent disaster that always accompany the annual Earth Day Doom & Gloom Extravaganza.

Here we are, 39 years later and the economy sucks, but the ecology’s fine. In fact this planet is doing a lot better than the planet on which those green lunatics live.
I received a call from a very big company for a job offer. They (HR) were impressed and said they would talk to the director and get back to me. Its been 1 week today. How long should I wait for them to get back to me? Should I email them and ask about it? What should I write in the email so that they dont think that I’m bothering them or that its too early to ask them. Any email suggestions? Thanks.

FYI the director, vice president and manager of HR have all been with this same company for 5+years!
