I am to do a presentation in my HR class about Lockheed Martin and my material to cover is the staffing systems. I found some information at their website, but it was limited of course.
I’m looking for information such as how they hire (potential vs achievement), disciplinary systems, and firing employees. Any website with some good material would be appreciated!

I’m aware that having a degree in business administration is good, but I am not that good in math. Also, all the math courses and other courses that I must take before I can transfer to a university does not fit into my time schedule or plans for the future. The two majors that I have chosen are majors that I have spent hours researching on and feel that they are the best fit for me and for my career. I just need some different thoughts concerning my decision.
I know that these two majors are a better fit for me and I actually will enjoy double majoring in public administration and sociology. I already have an A.A. degree and two certificate of achievements in general management and human resources management obtained through my local community college. I have zero job experience in human resources and would like to know if I will be able to land some type of an entry-level position in human resources once I am finished with college.
Do any of you think I am on the right path? Let me know what your thoughts and feelings are concerning my decision. I will award 10 points to the best answer of course and I will be checking back often to read all the replies. Thank you.

Yesterday I went to a job interview with the Boy’s and Girls Club. It was for a Teen Program leader. The interviewer asked me what classes I would teach to the teens. I told her I didn’t know. I have been killing myself over that question/answer lol.
I went home and did research.
Would it be inappropriate to email her with the classes I came up with and the explanations of them?

Yes, but you may need to get a masters in order to really get into the field. You could start off in a very junior position if there are job openings hard to fill in your geographic area. Sometimes HR consultants will hire BA psych majors if you have statistics and assessment coursework. Then later a company would hire you.

One friend of mine has asked me to find a good Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources Management to follow in Australia. This is for his daughter who has done a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. What are the best universities and the degrees? I am clueless and any help would be appreciated much.

I am a recent Computer Engineering Graduate and I am being offered an embedded software development position in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It’s a contract position paying $28.00/hr. Is this is a reasonable payrate? I have about 1 year of experience doing software development at Lockheed as an intern.

Hi,
You need to refer to http://www.britishcouncil.org for all further help as they are the official organization appointed by the UK government to assist international students. Contact their office in your nation. Go through their website properly as they have all ranking and universities listed there.
ALL THE BEST!

Uhhh…you can’t get an MD in HR. That would be a Doctor of Medicine degree in Human Resources, which is a business discipline, not a biological one. You could get certified in HR after achieving a BS in business administration at many universities in the 80s.
