I am scheduled to go into a large company and to meet with hiring manager, two other managers, and wrap up with the HR manager. I wonder what the purpose of the HR manager is. I have been suspended with pay for 5 weeks now while my case is in review. I just started a marketing company as a hedge against the current economy. The company thought I was doing business with clients on the side. I did help one client with an internet site and I was helping another non-profit for free. I am in sales and marketing and I have not taken any money from the customers I have helped. I did send an e-mail to a one of my marketing customers that has no relationship with my company. They went through my computer/e-mail records and I’m sure found a few things that were against the company policies but far less than I have witnessed the managers do. They are now bringing me in for a follow-up interview with the HR director. The first interview was an ambush and I am expecting the same thing on Monday. The Director of HR wants to “clarify” some of my answers to the original HR reps questions. I want to know what rights, if any, I have when responding to their questions. The original reason to fire me doesn’t exist but they told me I used the company’s assets for personal business and that is reason for termination. Why didn’t they just fired me 5 weeks ago? yes, I’m sure they do it often and can. I’m a sophistocated, classy young man that was caught in cooperate bullying. I got two valued employees fired, and then everyone started criticizing, behind my back, everything that i do at work. So when the opportunity came they suspended me “pending further investigation” I have a meeting witht eh director of human resources, and the director of food and beverage tomorrow. I was called to the company office to take part in a HR investigation involving a co worker. I sat at a table next to a HR assistant and the HR director sat next to me. As she started sitting, she rubbed her leg vigorously against my leg and continued rubbing for several minutes. At the end of the interview, she handed me her business card and made sure to touch my hand. Was my married and respected HR director bold enough to hit on me with her assistant in the room with her? Or was she trying to get me to drop my guard during the interview? Someone please explain!!!!!!!! |
