(Im already starting late) My children will be out of High School soon and I will be going back to work.(I am now self employed from home) Because I will be transferring to another school for my Bach. degree I am trying to sort things out. I am considering two different schools to transfer to. One of them is Athens State. The other school is UAH in Huntsville, Al. Because the programs are different, I need some help. You need a college class for this. Maybe 2 years worth, plus a certification in HR and Labor Relations. Contact your local university for classes, programs and testing dates. Research the SHRM website. Society for Human Resource Management.
This is not something you explain on this venue.

I am looking for a career change and would like to get into HR. My question is should I get my graduate certificate in HR before I get a masters in human resources managment? Or should I jump right into the masters degree?
Some background info. I have a four year b.s. business degree with an emphasis in finance and marketing. I graduated 2 years ago and have been working in finance for a year and a half. Thanks for your help!

Assume you are an HR director with a staff of seven people. A departmental objective is for all staff members to become professionally certified within a year. Identify six to eight certifications that could be obtained by your staff members, showing me the following details from each certifications:
Name of sponsoring organization
Names and types of certification
Addresses for relevant Websites containing more information
Experience and education requirements
Nature of certification process

Over the past few weeks, I have been interviewing with various companies to be an Engineering Manager. I was not impressed with any of the companies I interviewed with until today. They called me back for a second interview next week.
The company just blew me away. I appreciate their mission statement, philosophy, hiring manager, ethics, and everything else about them.
I interviewed with an HR Rep and the Engineering Director. The industry is Food and Beverage.
I cannot seem to write an appropriate Thank You letter to express that I want to work for them, and we will be a great fit for each other.
Any suggestions? What has successfully worked for you in the past?
