I Am A Software Engineer With A One Year Experience I Want To Move To Hr Line Is It Possible?

Yes, I have seen people doing that. Regarding the pay, I’m not sure about that. It could be lower than your existing one.

I Have A Degree In Human Resources Development. What Are Some Of The Possible Jobs I Will Have A Chance At?

The obvious choice is to go into Human Resources. People going into this function either become specialized in a specific area, such as Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Training or Organization Development, or they become generalists with responsibility for all of these functions. Whether a specialist or a generalist, the career paths have several levels beginning with basic administration and leading to management positions up to and including the Vice President level.
The best candidates for Human Resources combine their specialized educational background in Human Resources with extensive training in business to best support the organization.
Good luck in your choice.

Should I Report Possible Discrimination?

I was recently at an interview where the HR director was making comments like “She knows she is hiring illegals, but there is nothing she can do.” and “The African Americans only last a day, but the illegal Mexicans will last as long as I will give them a job.”
As a caucasian, none of them were directed at me, but as a human I found it extremely innappropriate and made me extremely uncomfortable. I was then interviewed by the Sales Manager. Subsiquently I did not get the job.
My question being, since I was not discriminated against, should I say something to someone? And follow up question. . is it common practice for HR to conduct interviews like that to see your response? I would think not, but I never delt with a professional HR department.

Do You Think The Following E-mail Conveying Verbosely ? Please Make It Better If Possible?

Dear Mr. Young,
Manager of the Human resources Dept
I would be very interested in the particular traits of security shift leaders as descibed below:
Once any incidents occur in the plant, shift leaders on duty must be present at the scence punctually and deal with the situation if the leaders are held accountable for such matters within their competencies.
During throughout entire their shifts, the leaders must maintain a regular liaison with their immediate supervisor.
Responsible for co-ordination and execution of shift change-over procedures, updating and keeping accurate entries in the hand-over record book, fluctuations or changes. Requirements: Legible, thorough, intelligible record keeping.
Held accountable for all entrusted responsibilites and authorities, reporting to the team leader or his second-in-command and the professional competence office, Boards of Directors about all issues within the entire shifts.
Precautions: regular check the tamper-proof seals within the plant, the administration building, the fence system.
I look forward to your valued assistance.

My Letter To Hr To Try And Get Info Or A Possible Transfer For My Pregnant Girlfriend! ?

(Any and all opionions, error corrections, or relavent addions would be helpful)
To: Human Resources Director of ******
Hello Mr. ****
My name is ********, a fellow employee here at **********, and had a urgent question about transfering sites. It has taken me quite awhile to think of a way to write this letter, but I concluded that the honest way is the best way. My girl friend recently had to move back to ********** for a period of time for family issues and has gotten a job at the *****site down there. We have just recently discovered that she is pregnant! Which we have been trying to do for a while now, and we both would like to keep her job at ***** for many reasons and find a way to transfer here so we can support our new little family together. Anyway, I just wanted to know if transfers were given special considerations, or if this was at all possible. Any information on tranfering sites or opionions on how to go about it would be greatly apprecated very much.
Sincerly,
********

How Should I Deal With Possible Pregnancy Discrimination At Work?

When I was six months pregnant, I was up for a promotion where I work (financial institution). I spoke to my direct supervisor about it, and she spoke to HR. My supervisor came back and told me that the VP, HR said that they didn’t want to promote me “right now” because new mothers often return to the work force “less focused on their jobs” and “not as motivated or ambitious” as they had been previously. I was upset, took some time to calm down, then pushed the issue. My supervisor agreed that this was pretty bogus, and took my promotion to HR again, as well as my new complaint about why I was turned down. The VP, HR said THIS TIME that I was not promoted because I had not met the criteria (pretty weak excuse– I did so!), and told my supervisor that she had taken what was said out of context, and that was not how the comments were intended. I really like where I work, and this was a shock to me. Now I’m on mat leave. What do I do? Do I pursue this at all? Pls HELP!
