Be specific and provide the cost-benefit rational for each action offered. I’ve been thinking about a career in HR. The problem is that if I decide to major in HR or anything in Business, I will have to waste another semester taking the prerequisite classes to get accepted into those majors. So I was thinking of getting my major in either psychology or sociology (which I have already completed prerequisites) and getting a minor in HR, so I dont have to waste time. Although I have been told a business degree would be better for HR. So what do you think I should do? Does anyone know (for sure) what the qualifications are to become an HR manager?? I know you atleast have to have a bachelors degree, but if a person is wanting to get into this would they have to start straight from the bottom (even if they’ve interned) or could they get into an hr position with decent pay with around 2 yrs of experience under their belt??!! I would say customer behaciour is a good option.Or rather employee behaviour? Yesterday I went to a job interview with the Boy’s and Girls Club. It was for a Teen Program leader. The interviewer asked me what classes I would teach to the teens. I told her I didn’t know. I have been killing myself over that question/answer lol. I work for the state in the Human Resources department. In order for an employee to get their last check they have to do an exit interview or they dont get it. A lady came in today that worked there for 2 days never went to her work area she was taking the training classes you have to take before you go to your unit. She got another job and left. Today about 2 months later after she had “worked” there she came in to get her check, written on the check said “Needs to Out Process” It was about 10 minutes to closing and the paperwork that she needed to fill out takes up to 45 minutes to do… (yeah it ridiuclous) she really needed her check that day so I gave it to her… I am really scared that I am going to get fired or even go to jail (i’m that paranoid) the people in my office are awfully nit picky mean beeyotches. I am only temporary anyway and am looking for another clerical job (no luck b/c of the economy…)but still I am scared that I am going to go to jail can someone please help me? Tell me what might happen? The lady said she wouldnt tell, but you cant trust anyone at that place… Please help all responses are greatly appreciated.
