What Is The Correct Age To Start With The Software Work. Can Any One The Doubts Of Mine Regarding The Carrer??

Now a days we see a lot of Freshers in the Software industry, I completed my B.E. in 2005 and joined the software industry but I developed a little bit of hatredness because of the Night shift environment and work pressure now after completing my M.B.A I am working as a HR in the Global top ten automotive Company. Am I in the correct path or I should come back again to technical??
Since I am already having the offer here and the previous concern also demands me to work in the night shifts(12 hours) environment I am really in a Dilemma.. Dear friends kindly advice me if at all you have come across this suituation and condition.
