I need your help =)
I keep getting Messaged through IM by these S/N’s claiming to be working with AE on a new line, and needing people to give opinions/model. I blocked the first one, and then the second. And finally, on this third time I asked how my screen name is being found, they replied with, Facebook. I feel like this is a complete scam. But if anyone knows otherwise…
They mentioned a Human Resource Director…Jon Barnes… sound familiar? Not to me…
According to Shannon Taylor of Telus (human resources director) says that sharing confidential information about a current employer would be disqualify from a job postion, if the company ask about it during the job interview which proves the company will not be discrete and is quite unethical. In Sept. 30, 2006 career section of Edmonton Journal, but was written by Paul Luke for the Vancouver Province. To me, it looks like someone who looking for a change of career or a better job with a resume’ that states a current employer as part of the job history has no fair chance of getting the job postion long before a job interview.
I am the Director of Human Resources at a company with about 140 employees. We are currently undergoing a lot of growth and I have set many new policies this year. In the past when the company was smaller and not corporate structured, salary employees were given extra compensation for working on a paid holiday (such as Labor Day).
The new policy that I have set forth does not give salaried employees additional compensation for working on a paid holiday (but does pay them if they do not work that day). Since this is a change for some seasoned employees, I am getting complaints and employees are salary employees are having a hard time understanding their exempt status.
