Is that too much to take up?
A 10 am -4pm job in HR which is what will help me pay the bills. I am taking up a lot of things right now. Here’s my exact situation.A certificate in HR that will be one class a week for 10 sessions in the evenings. This is will give me a career that pays well. Right now I work in the travel industry, does not pay well and I work for commission.
I have a a passion for fashion studies, designing, selling designs through my own online store, and going to fashion class once a week, assisting a designer now and then. I am starting to study fashion once a week too starting around the same time as HR classes, a different day of course.
I love fashion and journalism but I know that wont pay me well and I need money so HR which I also like is the next bet for me.
Now along with all this I have 3 other things going- I am guest writer with a successful online magazine
I volunteer once a week for a south asian domestic violence group in NYC
and I need to take the GMAT by NOV/DEC to try to get into a good business school next year.
Oh and did I mention we are also trying for a baby?
I need help to access the situation and let me know what would work best for me, what could I cut out from here and where will that take me.
Am I putting too much on my plate? I still want to relax, enjoy life, spend time with hubby etc…

I work for a city and my department suffers from a lot of issues, primarily incompetants and harrassment from upper management and colleagues. Now, we have attempted to go to upper management and even human resources to solve the problem, but have failed. I finally decided to write city council, because I heard someone from another city did so and they helped them. I explained to the council that I went through the proper channels, going to management and human resources and it didn’t help. It wasn’t a hate letter, but moreso a letter addressing concerns. I wrote about a team leader, manager, and assistant director. I’m just a regular worker. I didn’t straight complain about them all, I noted the good things about them and the bad things. My question is can I get fired or harrassed for trying to make the workplace a safer and healthier place to be at?
I just started at a new company 2 months ago, as a typical office assistant. They have a position open in the same department for a Staff Accountant, available in 2 months. The lady in the position is leaving for Germany in October. I have an accounting background, and expressed interest to my HR Director about this opening, and she said to submit a letter of interest. I don’t have a clue where to begin to write a letter of interest for this position, or how to draft a letter of interest when you already work for the company. Any suggestions, tips or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
I found the job online and it doesn’t state who to contact to send the letter and resume, just to Human Resources.. Who do I address the letter to? To Who it May Concern? or Dear Human Resources Director? or something else?
