What Can I Do About Being “written Up”?

I was written up by my new manager of one month. Reason stated “I have displayed a bad attitude and negative body language at the meeting for restructering of the department”. I am uncomfortable with this person being a manager mainly because her deprtment states she is horrible and never there and she and I are both in a leadership class for work and now I have to report to her as my manager. I should have been directed as a Lead or Supervisor. Some coworkers say that she is threaten by me and my education (aa abd bba degress) and that I have 7 years in my company. But to go as far as writing me uo. I refused to sign the disciple action notice and thus it has been turned into HR. I called the vP of HR myself and set up a meeting for tomorrow. Now I am thinking what should I bring to the meeting. Emails from her? My letters of recommendations from the CEO? My two nominations for Employee of the Year? The fact that I am on 4 committees and this class? How should I prepare myself for this meeting? I know I wasn’t happy about the changes but I was not rude or disrespectful in any matter.

Is This How A Memo Is Written?

I’m in college and for my english class, I have to write a sample memo. I chose to write mine about a dress code update… is this all that should be included in the memo?
“TO: Greentown Graphics Employees (including interns)
FROM: Andrew Stratton, Human Resources Director
SUBJECT: Summer Dress Code Update
DATE: May 2, 2008
In addition to the office’s usual dress code, employees will have new business-casual choices available for the summer.
The dress code update will begin May 5, 2008 and end August 22, 2008.
The summer’s business-casual dress code includes:
PANTS: Slacks similar to Dockers, dressy capris or cropped pants
SKIRTS: Casual dresses with thick straps or t-shirt style sleeves, solid colored skirts that split at or below the knee
SHIRTS, TOPS, BLOUSES: Pressed polo shirts, short-sleeved button-up shirts, short- sleeved suit jackets
FOOTWEAR: Clogs, flats, dressy heels, leather deck-type shoes, conservative sandals
Tennis shoes, athletic attire, collar-less T-shirts, shorts, flip-flops and anything denim is unacceptable.
Depending on the day’s activities, employees should dress accordingly. Greentown Graphics expects every employee to use good judgment in order to uphold the company’s outstanding reputation in the community, even during the hot summer months.”
The formatting got a little screwed up, sorry. Is there anything I could improve?

What Are The Legal Options For Personal Slander In The Workplace, A Letter Written On Corporate Letterhead?

After writing a letter to the corporate office of my company relaying some hiring discrimination I experienced with the region I was trying to transfer to, I was told an investigaton was going to be made. The result of this investigation was an angry letter written by the HR VP for the subject region (real presonal and really unprofessionally written). The letter pretty much called me a liar, everything the HR VP said there was no evidence of I had actual proof of, phone records, emails and computer documentation among other things. This letter was “cc’d” to multiple executives in the company, smearing the credibility and reputation I had built up in the 3 decades I have worked with the company.
The hiring issue is being dealt with, but can I go after the indviduals who put false information out there?
