For general career information: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search ‘human resources, training and labor relations managers and specialists’ or such.
One usually needs a bachelor’s (four years of college if attend on full-time basis) or master’s degree (usually takes additional two years after bachelor’s) to work as a HR manager. Please do talk with your guidance counselor about course electives and career path, but perhaps your school offers a business management or general management course.
When thinking about schooling, please steer clear of those online, for-profit schools such as penn foster, strayer, ITT tech, university of phoenix, stratford career, US career, devry, kaplan, walden, ashworth, capella and others as they are merely out to ‘make a profit’ (and course credits may not transfer): http://www.ripoffreport.com and can type into search.
    For US colleges: http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ

I’m a HR manager and I didn’t have many options for HR type classes in high school. Take any business class they offer, any business computer course, etc. I’m not sure what else your school offers…
You certainly need to go to a 4 year college in order to pursue this career. You can find many colleges that now offer HR degrees within the business school.
