What Human Resources Interview Questions Are There?

I am going for an interview at Western Dental corporate office for a human resources assistant position. Somewhat nervous about the type of questions they ask for a HR position. Any suggestions? Im interviewing w/ the VP of HR and the HR manager which is a little intimidating!

  • They will probably ask the standard questions about your work history, and you can probably expect some situational questions, such as “if an employee asked you [blank], how would you respond?” and “if [blank] happened, what would you do?” They might also ask you to tell them in detail about a time when you were frustrated at work, or had an issue. Interviews with HR reps tend to be a little more creative than typical interviews. (Because most people who are the interviewers have not had the same training as those in HR, and HR folks have usually had extensive training in the art of interviewing.) If you have taken any HR classes before, pull out your textbook and review the sample questions to get a better idea of what they will ask.
Good luck, and try not to stress over it.

They will likely ask you about your experiences as they relate to the job description. There are also the “Standard” questions:
    - Tell me about yourself
    - What are your strengths and weaknesses?
    - Where do you see yourself in 2, 5, 10 years?
    - Details about when you worked at places, what you did, and why you left.
Good luck and be prepared with questions of your own.

Following are few questions that I have been asked by My HR manager
What do you know about the company (It is very important that you must have enough knowledge about the company you are going for.)
What are your strengths and weakness?
    Who is your roll model?
How can you contribute to the achievements of the organization?
