Now a days we see a lot of Freshers in the Software industry, I completed my B.E. in 2005 and joined the software industry but I developed a little bit of hatredness because of the Night shift environment and work pressure now after completing my M.B.A I am working as a HR in the Global top ten automotive Company. Am I in the correct path or I should come back again to technical??
Since I am already having the offer here and the previous concern also demands me to work in the night shifts(12 hours) environment I am really in a Dilemma.. Dear friends kindly advice me if at all you have come across this suituation and condition.
I am also doing Sun Certification in JAVA/J2EE how can I manage things doing every things all together..
I am also having a offer to go to canada for MS studies next year by that time I will be 24 is that a correct age to start to a Alien country?? if so how can I adopt there.. Kindly advice.. Thankyou…

All I can tell you is the same thing that I’ve told everyone that asks me to teach them how to program. It’s either something you love and do great with, or it’s something you hate and should leave. You can’t really force yourself to like programming. It’s a certain mindset you have to be in, you actually have to be excited about what you’re doing and feel accomplished about getting the computer to bend to your will (so to speak). And if that joy isn’t there for you, perhaps it’s better if you don’t do it as a job.
I don’t think anyone can really answer your question as to whether or not you’re on the right path. That’s completely your choice. But you did ask for advice so I’ll tell you some advice I got from Richard Prior during a comedy skit. “Life is too short. Life is too short to be worrying about what other people think you should do. You should go out and enjoy life. Because life is just too short to not enjoy it.”
And as far as being an alien, I don’t think you’re ever prepared for that. Especially when you grow up somewhere else. You should be prepared for culture shock and forget everything you’ve ever learned in your current country. Because there is a BIG chance what you know now, doesn’t apply there. But you’ll get used to it eventually, it just takes time. My dad once said that everyone in the world is pretty much the same, just a little bit of difference here and there to keep the mix up. He was in the USAF and traveled around the world, so I believe what he said on faith. I’ve personally never even traveled out of my state of Virginia since I was 5 years old.
Any age is the right age if want to do something. I studied programming at 40. By the way you should know …. we have winter in Canada
