What Master’s Degree Is Recommended To Go Into Human Resources?

A number of people go into HR with MIR degrees (Master of Industrial Relations) – it really depends on what career path you are choosing: employee/industrial relations, organizational development, total rewards, training and talent management, etc. The reality is that in the 21st Century, HR is moving from a tactical to a more strategic role and is a respected partner at the business table. To that end, many also go the MBA or even the LLM.

The MBA is getting over saturated. Law is a very relevant option. Industrial Engineering comes into play if you’re thinking along the lines of becoming a Safety manager. I would consider a Master of Communications degree.

Just get a regular MBA, that way you’ll have more options.
