What Should I Answer In Hr Interview For Leaving A Previous Job. I Resigned Due To Restructuring & Not Fired?

My previous employer was a small software company in Bangalore. and closed his IT business, when many experienced people left the company for higher salaries. I also left the company five years ago.
Though I am doing good in my present company for last five years, I am seeking a change.
Please suggest me how to answer it positively.

Never refer to a major problem with management or say undesirable things about your supervisors, co-workers or the organization. Keep smiling and talk about leaving for a positive reason such as an opportunity, or a chance to do something better.

  • jaykay belives that a person who

Convey to the Interviewing body that you have left the job of your own and for sound better prospects. Nothing to say any more as HR people knows about the current scenario and status of the industry. If leaving and joining a new company where you are today has any gap of period then also you should not worry but with confidence you can say that you were needed full time to devote for family issues concerning to old age and illness of member that”s all.

Depending on your job you could say:
    1. I felt that i needed to grow my career path and found a great opportunity with company ABC.
    2. tell the truth and add a little twist ( if it makes sense)
I worked for ABC IT business because it was good life experience for me .I left the company after asking for a raise and got declined due to this troubling economy. I needed to support my family so i had no choice but to leave,
    3. or you could just say the truth. and say that you are seeking a change in company culture.
