What Should I Major In? Must Find A Degree Program 100% Online!!!?
I attended college between 1993-1999 (off and on as my schedule permitted). I was actually paying my own way through college and the debt just became too overwhelming. My major was Interior Design (not decorating). I know that major is going to be too time intensive…considering where I am in my life, now. I’m married, have an elementary aged child, no family living nearby, husband who works many hours, and I am working full time as well. I basically need to start over. I know that many of my credits are just too old now or just won’t apply to a degree in Business or Nutrition, etc. I need a program that A. is near or less than $3000/year, B. 100% online (no A.A. or A.S. Degree as a requirement), and C. will be possible for me to earn more than $30K/year. I am interested in Nutrition (not cooking), Computer related programs (IT), possibly Speech, possibly business, possibly human resources. Thank you for any input you may have to offer.

If you are seriously considering another field but not sure about what you’d like to do for what you need to make financially, visit the Occupational Outlook Handbook (http://www.bls.gov/oco/) by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. On this website you can run a search on a certain field of study/employment and check out what the job entails, the type and level of study and certification is required, and the future employment outlook.
PS. I’m glad to see your question again, b/c I felt horrible that you couldn’t find the information I’d provided for you in the last question about Nutrition porgrams in Florida. So to answer your original question, here are the schools in Florida which offer programs in nutrition:
Bachelor’s Degree: Florida State University & Miami Dade College
Associate’s Degree: Broward Community College, Hillsborough Community College & Pensacola Community College.
it’s going to be hard to find a program under 3k a year. stay away from for profit universities such as U of Phoenix and Devry. Those two have stigmas in corporate America. Try your state school and maybe they offer a online program. I doubt it will cost under 3k a year because online community college work costs about 4,500 a year and thats in state.
