well im in a little different market (i do pricing for retail goods), but the first and most important thing is to get an accurate cost of the good or service you are selling. in the service industry obviously there is some R & D costs that you must take into consideration. The next step is to look at your competitors, you may have to get sneaky here. Also, you can even set a “benchmark” margin, I usually use 30% with my retail stuff. I also try to put myself in the end users shoes, “how much would I pay for this.” Seems like a dumb step but it does help. Hope this is a starting point
