Do I need to get a replacement for my social security card? How would I get another one?

Yes, an original or certified copy of your birth certificate bearing an official seal may be used as a substitute for a Social Security Card. To see all of the documents you may use to prove your identity upon being hired, please check out the 5th page of the I-9. http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-9.pdf
While you need to provide your Social Security Number for tax purposes, there are other ways to verify it besides showing them your card.

You will have to have your social security card replaced.
They must have your social security card number for tax reporting purposes.
If you have a tax return from last year you can take that to verify your
number. You will have to take a picture ID and birth certificate to the social security office in your town to order your replacement card. Look in your local phone directory for the number to your local social security office. They will tell you what you need to do and what times they are open to process forms. I believe you can get one while you are there.
Your Human Resource Director will be able to use the information from
your previous tax return for the initial paperwork.
If you do not have an income tax return from a previous job, check and
see if it is on file with your drivers license application or in your school records.
As soon as possible you need to get a new card.
The process of getting a new card does not take very long.
You will be just fine. Good luck.

Yes they will! They consider that the same type of identification as a social security card!
